Morphologically close genera, and how to distinguish them:
Flavipanurgus species have the frons strongly and clearly punctate. Sternite 7 in males is strongly excavated apicomedially. The gonocoxae are not produced into apicalpoints.
Simpanurgus males have strongly flattened fore tarsi and clavate antennae. The female of Simpanurgus is unknown
Panurgus species never present yellow markings on the body. Their scopa is composed of spiraled hairs with an apical spine.
Camptopoeum males have sternite 7 as broad as long or slightly longer, parallel or almost. The gonocoxa are not produced into apical points.
